OUR STORY

Who We Are

The 2015 addition of the Pennsylvania team of Beirne Wealth Consulting was a natural extension of the forward-thinking, entrepreneurial spirit that sparked the creation of BWC. Much like the way John Beirne had created his own niche team within Merrill Lynch years ago, Chris Englebert fashioned his own team within Morgan Stanley in 1992.

Before the inception of BWC, John Beirne saw the limitations of the broker/dealer service model. His passion for independent, fee-based investment management services and innovative financial strategies wasn’t being satisfied. On a similar path, Englebert also came to realize the vast client benefit of the independent Registered Investment Advisor model.

The logical evolution of their practice, in order to continue to enhance the client experience and fine-tune investment performance through a results-oriented, independent platform.

The Pennsylvania team is focused on hiring professional money managers for institutions and providing creative solutions for defined benefit and defined contribution plans. They also serve high-net-worth clients by providing investment strategy and asset allocation recommendations while also advising on a comprehensive range of wealth planning needs.

Chris Englebert

As a managing director and institutional consultant in the Allentown, Pennsylvania office of BWC, Chris Englebert provides investment management consulting to both institutional and high-net-worth clients. In this role, he provides clients with manager due diligence, performance reviews, investment strategy and asset allocation recommendations. 

Prior to Joining BWC in 2015, Chris served for nearly 13 years as a senior investment management consultant with Morgan Stanley where he and his team consulted numerous municipal defined benefit pension and defined contribution plans advising them on various facets of asset allocation, manager selection and index utilization. Previously, he was with Smith Barney for six years as a senior vice president. He began his career in 1984 with E.F. Hutton where he helped create many cutting edge investment reporting and due diligence protocols to align institutional and individual clients with professional money managers.

Chris received a bachelor’s degree with a major in agricultural business and a minor in agricultural economics from the University of Minnesota. When not working, he enjoys tennis, golf and snow skiing and spending time with his wife Jamie and their three children and granddaughter. He lives in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth Garnto

What Elizabeth Garnto likes best about her work at BWC is the way she and her team are inspired to grow professionally and personally. She is particularly passionate about the firm’s RIA philosophy of offering independent, unbiased, client focused service and investment strategies.

As director of client services for BWC, she provides service to institutional and high-net-worth clients and administrative support in the Allentown, Pennsylvania office.

Prior to joining BWC in 2014, Elizabeth spent nearly four years as a registered associate with Morgan Stanley as part of the Englebert Reitz team. She began her financial services career in 1999 at Solomon Smith Barney, transferring to UBS in 2000, and has worked as a member of teams providing administrative and trade support to high-net-worth and institutional clients, both domestic and international.

Elizabeth earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Muhlenberg College in Allentown. She holds the series 65 securities license and licenses to sell life and health insurance and is also a licensed Pennsylvania notary. She is bilingual English-Spanish.

To support the community, she has served as a Hospice patient volunteer and on the Emmaus Arts Commission. Elizabeth loves dancing, gardening, personal fitness and spending time with her family. She lives in Emmaus, Pennsylvania with her husband Bruce and their four daughters and their family pets.


Jamie Englebert

Jamie Englebert is passionate about helping clients feel at ease knowing that the team at BWC is providing the best service and investment advice. She understands the level of trust it takes for most people to feel comfortable having someone else manage their money, and she prides herself on providing what she calls “white-glove” treatment.

As a client relationship manager with the Allentown, Pennsylvania office of BWC, Jamie serves as the retirement plans coordinator, providing administrative support to the team, focusing on marketing, and assisting all advisor needs proactively. She excels at organizing and coordinating office operations and events.

Prior to joining BWC in 2014, she spent 15 years gaining experience in operations and sales support with Salomon Smith Barney where she became a registered sales assistant as part of the Englebert Reitz Group in 2002.

Jamie earned a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on marketing from Muhlenberg College in Allentown.  She also holds the series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Outside her role at BWC, Jamie volunteers with the Parents Association of Cetronia and St. Joseph the Worker Parish. In her free time, she puts family first and loves spending time with her husband, Chris, and their two children. She is a fitness enthusiast and also enjoys cooking and having a good time with friends.
