Due to COVID19, everyone has been forced to alter their lifestyles and embrace the new “normal”. We interviewed BWC employees to see what they have been up to. Check out their responses below!
What is your favorite thing to do during quarantine?
John Beirne: Watching Netflix.
John-Oliver Beirne: Workout on the Peloton.
Lindsey Allard: Spend time outside with my family .
JR DeFrancesco: Getting extra time to spend with my children. My daughter has taken an interest in cooking and my son likes anything that keeps him active.
Jeff Bradanini: Golf and long walks/hikes outdoors. Anything to get out of the house, with proper social distancing of course.
Elizabeth Garnto: Spending time outdoors, on neighborhood walks or on the patio with my family.
Taylor Garguilo: Go for long walks/hikes with my dog Cooper.
Ashley Lynch: My favorite thing to do in quarantine are projects around the house that we would not have had time to get around to. We recently redid our kitchen & could not be happier!
Madison St. John: With limited options during quarantine, the things I enjoy to do most is sit outside or go for walks when it’s nice out. I’ve also driven down to the beach a few days. On days it’s not so nice, as everyone is probably doing, I enjoy watching new series and movies on Netflix.
Sam Burbank: Spend time outside escaping my apartment, from going for hikes to taking a long drive in my 6-speed manual.
Phil Sloan: Do various puzzles. Word Puzzles, Jig saw puzzles. They take time and keep your mind active.
What is a new hobby that you’ve picked up?
Lindsey: Bike riding with my family.
JR: Family walks/hikes.
Jeff: Believe it or not, cleaning. Being quarantined has given me plenty of free time at home to do some organizing around the house. I also rented a dumpster and got rid of lots of junk!
Elizabeth: Making face masks and new recipes.
Taylor: I’ve discovered my green thumb! I enjoy gardening and landscaping around the house!
Ashley: Not so much a hobby, but organizing! I have gone through every closet and cabinet in the house, feels great!
Madison: At the beginning of quarantine, I bought a ‘Friends’ puzzle and decided it would be fun to try. Puzzles were never something I really did or would have thought to try before being in quarantine. My dad also enjoys doing puzzles so it’s become something we are able to do together.
Sam: I have finally picked back up my hobby of running, specifically I enjoy trail running the most when I am able to get to a State Park or Reserve.
What is your “go to” snack?
John: Cocoa and Oatmeal cookies.
John-Oliver: Chips and Salsa.
Lindsey: Pringles .
JR: Rice Krispies treats, my daughter likes making them so having them around the house makes it hard to resist.
Jeff: I have quite the sweet tooth so I stocked up on Easter candy. I also like chips with some sort of dip; guacamole, salsa or hummus.
Taylor: Funfetti cupcakes (I’ve become the next Betty Crocker during quarantine).
Ashley: Trader Joe’s Greek Yogurt, Guac with Tostitos or popcorn!
Madison: Funfetti cupcakes.
Sam: Cookies or ice cream.
Phil: Fruit. I’m in Florida so wide varieties are available.
Where is the first place you will go when the quarantine is over?
John: Smith and Wollensky’s restaurant.
John-Oliver: Go and see family and friends.
Lindsey: The gym .
JR: To a nice dinner, it will be nice to have someone else cook for us when this is over.
Jeff: Out to dinner with a big group of friends that I haven’t seen in months. I also can’t wait to go back to the gym and I’m in desperate need of a haircut!
Elizabeth: Visit with my brother in NY State who recovered from COVID-19.
Taylor: TJ Maxx… more specifically the candle aisle!
Ashley: It is a toss-up between the nail salon or hair salon!
Madison: I’ve definitely done my fair share of online shopping during quarantine, but the first place I will go will be Target or TJ Maxx.
Sam: Vacation; golfing back to back days in Arizona, taking a trip to Hawaii, or spending countless hours on the beach in Cape Cod.
Phil: To visit my kids and grandchildren.
What is the first thing you will do when the quarantine is over?
John: Go on vacation.
John-Oliver: Go out and support the local restaurants.
JR: Visit my family.
Lindsey: Hug my family and friends .
Jeff: I recently had to cancel a trip because of COVID19 so I’m really looking forward to vacationing on a beach somewhere warm.
Elizabeth: I will go to the dentist since my appointment in March was canceled.
Taylor: Hug my grandparents!
Ashley: Get as many of my friends & family members as possible together and go out to dinner!
Madison: I’m looking forward to finally spending time with my family and friends on a regular basis again once quarantine is over.
Sam: Go golfing and spend countless hours outdoors. Spend some quality time with the friends that I have not been able to see, going out for brunches and enjoying Stamford’s Beer Garden on the water.
Phil: Play Golf!
